This Privacy Policy describes how Nationwide Billing Group, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the TempSocial platform, including the website at tempsocial.app and the web application at events.tempsocial.app (collectively, the "Service").

TempSocial and CampgroundMeet (cgmeet.com) are operated by the same company, Nationwide Billing Group, LLC, and run on shared infrastructure. Your information is handled under this single privacy program regardless of which of our brands you use.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Account information: First name, last name (optional), email address, and password when you register. Guest users provide a first name and device identifier.
• Profile information: Profile photo, age range, gender, occupation, interests, and other optional profile details you choose to share.
• Event information: If you create an event, we collect the event name, description, location, dates, capacity settings, and configuration options.
• Messages: Text messages exchanged with other users through the Service.
• Ratings and reviews: Star ratings and review text you provide about other users.
• Payment information: Payment details are collected and processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or bank account details on our servers.
• Identity verification data: If you choose to complete optional identity verification, government-issued ID images and selfie data are collected and processed by Stripe Identity. We do not store ID images on our servers.
• Feedback: Messages submitted through the in-app feedback feature.

Information Collected Automatically

• Location data: Your device's GPS coordinates when you use GPS check-in features at events that require it. Location is only collected with your device's permission and only during active use.
• Device information: Device identifier (for guest accounts), browser type, and platform (web, iOS, Android).
• Usage data: Event participation, features used, and interaction patterns to improve the Service.
• IP addresses and network data: When you create an account, upload content, or report content, we collect and retain the IP address and timestamp associated with that activity for security, abuse prevention, and legal-compliance purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and operate the Service, including connecting event attendees
• Display your profile to other attendees at events you've joined
• Deliver messages between connected users
• Process payments for paid plans
• Verify GPS check-in at events that require it
• Send notifications about connection requests, messages, and event activity
• Enforce our Terms of Service and protect users from abuse
• Generate aggregated, anonymized statistics to improve the Service
• Respond to support requests and feedback

3. How We Share Your Information

With Other Users

Your profile information (first name, last initial, photo, and preferences) is visible to other users who have joined the same event. Event organizers may see additional participant information for events they manage. You control what information you share in your profile.

Information shared with event organizers

When you join an event, the organizer may receive the information you provide (name, email, and any phone or social profiles you've made shareable) along with your participation details, and may follow up with you, including after the event.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your data with advertising networks or data brokers.

For Legal Reasons

We may disclose your information if required by law, legal process, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of our users or the public.

Child safety and content reporting

We use automated detection and user reporting to identify and remove illegal content, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). When we become aware of apparent CSAM, we are legally required to report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to preserve the related content and account data. We may disclose your information — including uploaded content, account details, IP addresses, and timestamps — to NCMEC, law enforcement, or other authorities as required by law or to protect others' safety.

4. Location Data

Some events on TempSocial require GPS check-in to verify attendee presence. In these cases, your location is used only to confirm you are within the event's check-in radius. We do not track your location in the background. Location data is only collected when you actively check in and with your device's permission. You can revoke location access at any time through your device settings.

Your precise location is never shared with other attendees — they only see that you have checked in to the same event.

5. Data Retention

• Active accounts: We retain your data for as long as your account is active.
• Event data: Event details and participation records are retained for the duration of the event and for a reasonable period afterward for continuity of connections.
• Messages: Messages are retained for the duration of the connection. If a connection is removed, associated messages may be deleted.
• Deleted accounts: When you request account deletion, your account enters a 30-day grace period. During this time, you can cancel the deletion by logging back in. After 30 days, your personal data is permanently anonymized. Anonymized data (such as aggregate statistics) may be retained indefinitely.

6. Account Deletion

You can request account deletion at any time through the app (My Account → Manage Plan → Delete Account). The process works as follows:

• You must confirm by entering your password and typing "DELETE MY ACCOUNT"
• A 30-day grace period begins, during which you can cancel by logging back in
• After 30 days, your data is permanently anonymized: profile information, messages, photos, and personal details are removed
• Anonymized records (ratings, aggregate participation data) may be retained for platform integrity

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• Encrypted database connections (SSL/TLS)
• Password hashing using bcrypt
• JWT-based authentication tokens
• Rate limiting to prevent abuse

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: You can view your profile data, messages, and activity within the app at any time.
• Correction: You can update your profile information through the app.
• Deletion: You can request account deletion as described in Section 6.
• Portability: You can contact us to request a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Objection: You can contact us to object to specific data processing activities.

9. Children's Privacy

TempSocial is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will promptly delete their account and associated data.

10. Cookies and Local Storage

TempSocial uses browser local storage to store your authentication token and preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies. No data is shared with ad networks.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
